An Interview with Tori Cowdrey

“I had amazing teachers, and they inspired me to become an amazing teacher.”

Tori Cowdrey is the new Special Education Teacher for Alsea School District. She joined us last spring and has continued on full time this school year. She is a great addition to our school!

  • HN: What do you like about your job?
  • TC: I love working with students. I really like to watch the skills they gain.
  • HN: What inspired you to become a teacher?
  • TC: My family. My mom, dad, and sister all were or are teachers. I also had amazing teachers, and they inspired me to become an amazing teacher.
  • HN: What was your dream job?
  • TC: To be a Kindergarten Teacher.
  • HN: Where did you go to school?
  • TC: I went to Elementary and High school in Alsea, and I got my Bachelor’s Degree in Education at Eastern Oregon University in La Grande. I am currently working on my Master’s of Special Education at Western Oregon University.
