Girls Basketball Ready for League Play

December 14, 2021

As the echoes of squeaking shoes and dribbled basketballs are heard throughout the Alsea gym, it’s evident that basketball season is upon us. The Alsea Girls Basketball Team, just 181 days removed from their final game of the 2020-21 season, a season in which the Wolverines finished 3-6, is hard at work and getting ready for league play which starts today with a tilt on the road vs. Eddyville.

Head Coach Ricki Hendrix is excited about the potential of her 2021-22 version of the Wolverines and gave her outlook on the season:

“With the 2021 season ending in June it seems soon to start this season, but we are excited and ready to get going with the ‘21-‘22 season and watch these girls grow in both skill and program ownership! With a young crew taking the court, we are looking forward to putting down some strong ground work so as this program continues, these girls truly feel ownership, leadership and pride in the program atmosphere that they have helped to grow.”

Alsea will host Crow in their first home game on December 16th at 5:30pm. Take a look at the video below and get to know your Alsea Women’s Basketball Team:
