Welcome from the Superintendent
It is with great joy and deep gratitude that I return home to lead the Alsea School District as I begin my 25th year in education. As your superintendent, I am honored to serve this vibrant and resilient community, and I bring with me a strong commitment to excellence for every student and staff member.
I believe in building robust systems of support that empower success, expanding our Career and Technical Education (CTE) offerings to align with workforce demands, and fostering a culture where each individual is seen, valued, and inspired to thrive. I am especially eager to engage in collaborative identity work and long-term vision planning with all stakeholders, ensuring our district moves forward with clarity, unity, and purpose.
Ms. Knudson’s Philosophy
Every Child Can Learn and Grow
I believe all students have the ability to learn, succeed, and thrive no matter where they start. It’s our job to meet them where they are, recognize their unique strengths, and provide the support they need to keep moving forward.
Lead with Love, Encouragement, and High Expectations
Students rise when they know they’re believed in. I lead with heart; encouraging, guiding, and holding high expectations, because I know that strong relationships are the foundation for lasting growth.
Hard Work and Perseverance Matter
Success doesn’t happen overnight. I value effort, resilience, and a never-give-up mindset. Not just in students, but in educators and myself. We model the grit we want to see, and we celebrate progress every step of the way.
Together, we will cultivate a cohesive, high-impact culture that honors our unique strengths and prepares our students for a dynamic future.
