Alsea School District (ASD) will continue with the four-day academic week, with Fridays on any week where Monday is off school. School will start the last week of August, in hopes of giving the contractors more time to complete work on the Bond Project. In addition, Corvallis School District will not be providing food services till September. Starting a week later means ASD only has to provide our own food services for one week. Thanksgiving vacation will seem a little strange this year, with Parent Teacher Conferences taking place the first two days of the break. Winter Break will be two weeks as usual but reach farther into January due to where the holidays fall this year. Spring Break will be the last week of March, in alignment with surrounding school districts. School will end at the usual time in June. This calendar fulfills hour and day requirements for attendance, staff development, etc.
