Alsea’s Enrichment program goes beyond the state mandated TAG and provides alternative and advanced learning for those students who think outside the box or are ready for a faster paced curriculum. Currently the program is focusing on math and reading for grades K-6 and will expand to project based learning opportunities for the middle school grades and technology/engineering projects for grades 2-6 in Spring 2017.
The program is a combination of pull-out and push-in services depending on the needs and age of each student and the general education classroom schedule. Students are identified as potential candidates for this program through a combination of the MAPs assessment (scoring 90% or higher), teacher recommendation, and/or parent nomination.
For additional information on the Enrichment program, please contact Director of Student Services, Rozeanne Steckler.
